Films of all genres, formats, duration and production region are accepted, as long as they are made from January 1, 2019. Older films can be invited directly by the FICSU curatorship.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The festival takes place in Ubatuba, north coast of S\u00e3o Paulo, southeastern Brazil, from June 16 to 19, 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Costs<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Submissions for films are free through the website <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/ficsu.com.br\/en\/\">www.ficsu.com.br<\/a> <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and cost $10 (ten dollars) for the platforms <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.festhome.com\"><b>www.festhome.com<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmfreeway.com\"><b>www.filmfreeway.com<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FICSU does not have a fee for the exhibition of films. By registering, the director accepts to show his film at the Festival at no cost to the production.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Dates<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applications will be held from March 15 to April 10, 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FICSU takes place from June 16 to 19, 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Filmmakers will be notified of the selection by email until May 15, 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Prizes<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FICSU will not award cash prizes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There will be 5 trophies, 1 popular jury and 4 specialized jury.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><i>Praia Grande Award<\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 the most popular beach in Ubatuba, an award for the most popular movie.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong><i>Sununga Award <\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 a different beach, good for skimboarding, the waves hit the rocks and come back sideways, a prize for an innovative film, which changes the way we see things.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Vermelhinha Award<\/strong> &#8211;<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a more extreme surf beach, with waves that break very close to the sand, a prize for a more radical film, which takes us to the limit.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong><i>Itamambuca Award <\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 a beach that appeals to everyone, with regular waves, throughout the year, an award for a complete film, with a good narrative, well done in all its aspects.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong><i>Pr\u00eamio Perequ\u00ea-A\u00e7\u00fa <\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 a beach where the Ubatuba surf school is located, ideal for beginners, a prize for first-time directors (first or second film).<br \/><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Rules for registration<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The film must have subtitles in English or Portuguese, if spoken in another language.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Films made before January 1, 2019 cannot be submitted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Films that are not related to Surfing cannot be submitted, this is our theme.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Films of all lengths are accepted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Films of all genres and formats are accepted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Films from all countries in the world are accepted.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>For the selected<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The film must be delivered in digital format, in h264, with 1080p resolution, at least 10 fps and stereo sound.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The film producer is responsible for all rights involved in the image and sound of his film.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Upon being selected, the director authorizes the use of photos and excerpts from the film (up to 1 minute), as well as trailers, for use by
